“Beard and Beautiful” began with a chance encounter at a New Delhi pub where I spotted a divine-looking Australian traveler with a majestic beard. Despite being a traveler passing through India, he graciously agreed to be photographed in my studio. The prospect of basing a shoot on such a quirky personality trait excited me. Following his shoot, I began shooting more bearded individuals on weekends. I invited friends and acquaintances who sported distinctive beards, building a community of collaborators. As word spread, more bearded individuals participated, shaping the project into a labor of love. This has turned into one of my most memorable projects, primarily because it stems from a pure place of celebrating art as it is. The project’s growth has been entirely organic, and I’m excited about possibly taking it global someday.
