This body of work grew out of my relationship with Albina, whom I have been photographing for 3-4 years now. As a fashion photographer, one of my greatest strengths lies in capturing portraits that enable a deeper emotive connection between the viewer and the model. I wanted to pronounce this more strongly with Albina, as compositions of sheer purity and beauty, sensual but not erotic. Shot on an isolated beach in Thailand, where the land meets the ocean, the black and white compositions speak of timelessness and of a raw immaculate character. Like the barren land and open waters, Albina is photographed nude, minus the trappings of fashion, props, or convention. She becomes part of her landscape, and part of our romanticized vision of reality.
